Prestigious Cricket Tourney on E1Caribbean, E2Caribbean
ESPN will present exclusive LIVE coverage of all 23 cricket matches of the 2010 Airtel Champions League Twenty 20 (CLT20) from South Africa, September 10 to 26, on ESPN (E1C) and ESPN2 (E2C), ESPN’s Caribbean Networks. All matches also will have a same-day re-air at 4:30 pm or 8:00 pm on E1C or E2C.
The prestigious CLT20 is a top-flight tournament offering the richest purse in domestic Twenty20 cricket. Ten leading club teams from domestic leagues in the Caribbean, India, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand will compete, led by some of the biggest stars in world cricket, including India’s Sachin Tendulkar, the most capped Test player in the history of Test cricket, and his West Indies-born teammates on the Mumbai Indians, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo.
Representing the Caribbean this year is Guyana, which became the final team to earn entre into the tournament by beating Barbados in the Caribbean T20 final, aired on ESPN in July. The CLT20 format features two groups of five playing 20 Group matches, with the top two from each group advancing to the single-elimination Semis and Final.
